AMERICAN DENTAL DESIGNS VOLUNTEERS WITH MOM-N-PA DENTAL MISSIONS IN WILKES-BARRE, PA
At 4:45am on Friday, June 7, 2019, the founder of American Dental Designs – Dental Lab, Vinod Dudhat, his nephew Miraj Dudhat (who is studying to become a dentist), and other members of his team, set out on a road trip from Montgomeryville, PA to Wilkes-Barre, PA. They were on a mission: To help those less fortunate in need of dental work.
The drive to Mohegan Sun Arena took a little over 90 minutes. By the time we arrived at the MOM-n-PA Dental Missions, the sun was out and there were lines wrapped around the venue. Hundreds of people had been camped out since the night before. But they weren’t out there waiting for tickets to a rock concert. They were waiting to receive dental care. Many of them were in pain.
Once inside the arena, we were given orange volunteer shirts, badges, and some refreshments before heading to our assigned departments. Vinod joined several lab technicians in a locker room on the bottom floor – where dentures were being made. That’s where he spent most of his 10-hour day. Vinod got to work right away, producing high-quality prosthetics for the patients just like he does each and every day for our clients at American Dental Designs – Dental Lab.
“It feels good to give back,” Vinod expressed before going on a brief lunch break. “These people need good prosthetics and I’m happy to donate my time for this cause.”
Vinod and Miraj were two of 944 volunteers who contributed to the success of the MOM-n-PA Dental Missions in Wilkes-Barre, PA. The annual two-day charity event provided 1,631 patient visits with dental care valued at nearly one million dollars.
On behalf of everyone here at American Dental Designs – Dental Lab, we want to thank Vinod Dudhat, his nephew Miraj, and the other members of our team for donating their time for such a great cause. We look forward to taking part in next year’s MOM-n-PA Dental Missions in Philadelphia.
